There were only a few hundred of these system actually produced before. This unique upper receiver group has been mated to the reliable Colt AR-15 lower receiver group. Exactly the same concept the US Army is trying to accomplish today. The two unique aspect of this rifle are 1) it does NOT require a buffer assembly as the recoil spring is located around the gas-key, which is located in front of the upper receiver, which allows for the folding stock 2) due to the elongated gas-key, when the rifle is fired, all the fired gas is vented up and outside behind the gas block, which keeps the, bolt, bolt carrier and upper receiver clean and free of burn powder and gas residue.
This key almost acts like a gas-piston system, but is actually still a gas impingement system. This gas key extends across the top of the barrel to the front sight tower/gas block. Additional Information: This ZM Weapon system is another very limited semi-automatic rifle concept that uses a half-length AR15/M16 bolt carrier which is mated to an elongated gas key. With a soft case, manual and a Wilcox Industries Night Stalker laser/flashlight foregrip with visible light and infra-red functions. They did all the real work.Picatinny-mounted adjustable pin front and peep rear sights, with a flask hider, checkered vented steel handguard with triple-rail block, forward assist, standard lower receiver markings, Z-M pistol grip and a side folding metal buttstock. Someone gave me the idea to make a guide on how to make these and I think that would be a good idea, so I may or may not make one. The M16A2 works beautifully with the M4 animation, if you only download one of these that's the one I'd recommend. Still better than the vanilla animation, I think.
The G36L from the G36C pack has a box mag with ammo belt, but I gave it the same animation as the g36c so it might look a bit awkward. I'm unsure of how to fix this bug, but I will be working on it. Each one requires it's respective weapon mod and Asurah Reanimation Pack, obviously. Patches to make a few weapons use Asurah's M4 or G36 animations.
